The Community Kitchen of Monroe County is continuing to provide meals for those in need during the statewide COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) lockdown.

The organization is offering both warm and cold carryout meals from its locations at 1515 S. Rogers St. and 1100 W. 11th St. The Backback Buddies program, which provides food to school-age children, is also still operational.

During the statewide lockdown mandated by Gov. Eric Holcomb, which will last through April 6, the Community Kitchen is operating without its usual volunteers.
